Online Tuition

At Najma The Maths Tutor, we provide high-quality online tutoring tailored to help GCSE and A levels students excel in their studies.

We follow a structured pathway designed to support the students at different stages of their learning journey and guide them towards greater confidence and independence in mathematics.

Lessons are delivered online in a calm, structured environment, with a strong focus on understanding, consistency, and long-term progress.

Our Structured Pathway:

A structured route from support to independence.

We begin with a conversation to understand your child’s year group, exam board, tier (foundation or higher), current attainment level, and any areas of maths they find particularly challenging.

Before your child’s first lesson, we carry out a short diagnostic assessment to identify strengths and gaps.

Where possible, this is completed in advance and reviewed before the first session. This allows us to use lesson time effectively; focusing immediately on feedback, key misconceptions, and targeted teaching.

If your child has recently completed a school or mock paper, this can also be used in place of an initial assessment.

From this, we create a focused revision plan and advise on the most appropriate next steps.

This stage is personalised and carefully structured.

We usually recommend this stage when students have significant content gaps. The aim of this stage is to close gaps in understanding, rebuild confidence, and establish strong mathematical foundations.

Progress is reviewed regularly. Where appropriate, readiness for group tuition is discussed honestly with parents.

This stage is for students who are ready for more independent, exam-focused learning within a structured group setting.

Focus is on exam technique, application of knowledge and independent problem-solving.
